I have no words to put here.. I just.. hum
Burn Gorman being an adorable fucking nerd
I remember seeing a drawing by toucanparty once of Newt with Hermann’s haircut and thought the idea was cute as heelllll
I am going to make everyone so sick and tired of seeing this work in progress I swear (you can find the linework and sketch phases somewhere in my tumblr archive).
Wish I could’ve had this done and available as a sort of triptych print for ECCC, but life became too busy! I did attack my coloring a bit and I feel good about that (still messy! but color concepting looks pretty good so far). Newt will probably end up being a touch brighter. I want him to look like he’s glowing from the inside out, so he’ll take some work. And ugh, kaiju!Danger is still a bit of an unknown factor as far as colors go.
May I present Newton Geiszler and Hermann Gottlieb
Herms in Newt’s clothes playing sleeping beauty ;3;
MEGACON GENERAL INFO
Megacon’s main rooms are open:
- FRIDAY MARCH 21st – 1PM-7PM
- SATURDAY MARCH 22nd – 10AM-6PM
- SUNDAY MARCH 23rd – 10AM-5PM
(There will still be events going on outside these times, check your schedule.)
Orlando traffic is *terrible*. Be prepared to leave an hour or more early, especially if you have to drive on Interstate 4.
There will be parking at the convention center, which has its own charge. Tell them you’re attending the convention for a reduced rate.
The full panel schedule can be downloaded here:
Alas, Burn Gorman had to cancel his appearance due to his film schedule. There will be a John Barrowman panel Friday from 4-5pm, and a Torchwood cast panel Saturday from 1:30 - 2:40pm.
Ron Perlman’s panel is: Sunday, 2:20 - 3:10pm
For photo ops with Ron, go to: http://celebphotoops.com/event/megacon-2
When he isn’t in a photo op or a panel, chances are, Ron will be in the celebrity signing area (usually in the dealer’s room).
There should be enough of us PacRim fans to have a meetup (or two)! Possible activities are:
1) Cosplay group photo
2) Dinner/lunch (outside the convention center)
3) Laser tag, or other silly attractions nearby
If there is enough interest to do non-convention things Friday or Sunday, we can coordinate visits to the museums/I-Drive attractions, mini-golf, bowling, etc.
Because many people can’t make it to Megacon on the Friday, I am inclined to suggest a Saturday late afternoon meetup (5pm) or morning (11am) for cosplay photos and then dinner and lasertag afterwards.
We can, of course, coordinate further meetings on Friday and Sunday.
Please vote on times for meetups and other things to do here:
Results will be posted in a few days.
